Social participation and policy uptake

Showcasing the Roadmap “Future Health Promotion”

Wednesday, 25 September 2024 | 11:45-12:15 | Conference Centre

Organised by the Competence Centre for Future Health Promotion at the Austrian National Public Health Institute

Join our interactive Networking Break to explore a concrete example of how a large-scale participatory process is being incorporated into Austria’s future health promotion programmes. Particular focus will be on how the Roadmap “Future Health Promotion” and the Austrian Health Targets have been incorporated into the Austrian Health Promotion Strategy. This strategy demonstrates an effective framework for a coordinated approach to health promotion by the federal government, the federal states, and social insurance organisations.

Discover how this policy uptake was possible in Austria!  What are your experiences with implementing the results of participation? Let’s dive into the fun of uncovering what helps and hinders the adoption of co-created policy results! Participants will receive an ice cream to make it easier to look beneath the surface of the iceberg.
